|
|
In /etc/portage/make.conf I have:
LINGUAS="en en_US"
For spell checkers, I have:
hunspell Installed versions: 1.3.2-r3
gtkspell Installed versions: 2.0.16(2)
[I] app-dicts/myspell-en
Available versions: 20081002
Installed versions: 20081002
But, whenever I write something (usually in Firefox or Kmail), I'm given the British spellings. For example, I'm told "labor" is wrong and I should correct it to labour.
Have I missed a setting somewhere?
Thanks,
Vicki

Right click on a text box in Firefox. Select American dictionary under "Languages."
It will save you from using proper English. _________________ First things first, but not necessarily in that order.
Apologies if I take a while to respond. I'm currently working on the dematerialization circuit for my blue box. |

I'm marking this solved. For some reason it had me on English (Canada) in Firefox. Kmail is working properly too. Maybe I had been trying to run it through Firefox. |
