One of them, Jeff Westbrook, even held a senior research post at Yale University. (I'll admit I had to guess on three of them)

Got these two wrong:
Quote: 8. What is the world’s longest song? Correct answer: ℵ1 Green Bottles Hanging on the Wall

Quote: You answered incorrectly 10. What did Bertrand Russell say to Alfred North Whitehead? Correct answer: “My Gödel is killing me!”

Can someone explain?

An abelian grape! What a hoot!

I got that one wrong, but I lucked out on two others.

I got 10 out of 10

Both results come from set theory. ℵ0 is the cardinality (the "size" of the set) of the natural numbers (the integers are the rationals have the same cardinality as well). Sets with cardinality ℵ0 are referred to as "countable": ℵ1 is a strictly larger cardinality (the Continuum Hypothesis, an optional axion, states that cardinality of the real number is ℵ1). Such sets are "uncountable".

Alfred North Whitehead, Bertrand Russell (who formed Russel's paradoz - The Library of Congress card catalog lists all card catalogs that do not list themselves. Should the Library of Congress card catalog list itself?) and Gödel (of Gödel's incompleteness theorems) are all prominent figured in the development of axiomatic (ZFC) set theory

Democrat answer? Of course it should, because that would cost more thereby increasing tax revenues which should always be maximized because you'd only spend it on beer and cigarettes anyway.

More specifically, Godel showed that the aim by mathematicians (or philosophers, depending on who you ask) like Russell to axiomatize arithmetic is impossible. That's why his Godel is killing him.

I believe the continuum hypothesis states that there is no cardinality strictly between aleph_0 and aleph_1. See Continuum hypothesis

Kurt Godel (with two dots over the "o") is a mathematical logician. Wiki him.

I like the guy talking about it being a bit late to prove it in the 20th century :)

Everything else marks you as an idiot.

Real languages don't need funny dots and slashes.

and speaking of language, your second sentence makes no sense.

of course, in order to get the joke about Godel, you have to pronounce it "girdle". Presumably, because that's the germans say it.

Yes, we are.

How would you feel about Joonipa? Hm? Where do you come from? Känada? Does that look funny or strange?
