If you want to use the proprietary nvidia-drivers for Xorg, you have to use the Vesa or Uvesa framebuffer directly in the kernel because it's about the only one that those drivers support, unless you are in EFI boot mode, in that case you must use the EFI framebuffer.
If you want to use the Nouveau drivers for Xorg, you have to use the Nouveau framebuffer directly in your kernel with KMS enabled by default. This should work to in EFI mode, but I have'nt test.

Any chance it's a muxless laptop and you didn't install intel drivers ?

sorry for so late to reply.

to Logicien:
i really want to use nouveau drivers, and i have set nouveau framebuffer directly in my kernel configuration file.

to VoidMage:
yes, it is a muxless laptop, but i found i915 driver installed. is this for intel chip?

And i find some other link below which i think i need to read first:
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-7418878.html

http://www.nvidia.com/object/optimus_technology.html

Any more advice? thanks!

Install xf86-video-intel, recheck useflags on libdrm/mesa, pastebin new xorg log.
Though there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the first log, there were no clients, so server simply quit.
