Okay so I've just finished my gentoo install on a sun t2000 (16 cores, 16gb ram) and it all went well until I rebooted and tried to boot off it without the live cd. This is what I'm getting.
Code: | {0} ok boot
Boot device: /pci@780/pci@0/pci@9/scsi@0/disk@0,0:a File and args:
SILO Version 1.4.14_git20120819_p1
boot:
Allocated 64 Megs of memory at 0x40000000 for kernel

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Duplicate Threads.
OP also posted correctly in the SPARC forum
Specifically, "Sparc boot errors (read error on block)". -- mod edit _________________ Regards,

Computer users fall into two groups:-
those that do backups
those that have never had a hard drive fail. |
