I am just switching from grub to grub2 and see the following warning after emerging grub2:

* To avoid automounting and auto(un)installing with /boot,
* just export the DONT_MOUNT_BOOT variable.

So I can re-emerge grub2 like this:
Code:
export DONT_MOUNT_BOOT=1
emerge grub

How do permanently set DONT_MOUNT_BOOT so when the next version of grub is emerged (ie. emerge --update ...) it still gets the DONT_MOUNT_BOOT environmental variable? (Is there a use flag for this?)

Hi,
You could always put the export line into /etc/profile.env

Or into make.conf (without "export") if you do not mind that it is set for other ebuilds, too.
