Hello,

I've been having this problem for a couple years now, and I decided it's time to get it solved. The internal mic of my laptop does not work at all, while the external does it good. It used to work before I switched to PulseAudio (I even think it worked with some earlier versions of PA).

I have installed pavucontrol and PA is recognizing the devices, but it claims that external mic is plugged (even when it is not) and it shows that internal mic is unavailable. Moving the boost slides does not help. Playing around with alsamixer does not help. I've already tried the "model" thing when loading the module.

This is the information of the card:

Code:

# lspci | grep Audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset High Definition Audio (rev 05)

Code:

# cat /proc/asound/card0/codec* | grep Codec
Codec: IDT 92HD81B1X5
Codec: Intel IbexPeak HDMI

I would really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
