|
|
I have two printers in cups, printing test pages works, printing with firefox works, but when I try to print with any program of the libreoffice suite, an error message tells me that "the default printer wasn't found" and I have to "select a printer from the availables". Unfortunately no printers are available.
I tried by setting a default printer in cups with
Administration -> Manage Printers -> Printer XYZ -> Administration -> Set as server default
I tried restarting libreoffice, restarting cups, restarting the whole system... nada!
I don't know what other information to collect to solve this problem.
I found this bug filed but don't know if it's related because there are great differences: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/911235
Thank you for any suggestions... |

Funny I had the opposite problem with a cups 1.5 print server at work that did not like the apple bonjour cups 1.6.
Did you check your /etc/cups/cupsd.conf?
I usually add to them to something like:
Code: | Port 631
Listen 0.0.0.0:631
Listen /run/cups/cups.sock |
And a
Code: | BrowseLocalProtocols All |
You could do a Code: | tail /var/log/cups/error_log |
(dont post it here post it at pastbin.)[/code] _________________ Donate to Gentoo |
