Hello!
I tried today 'emerge --sync' after a period of 2 weeks and instead of syncing it returned this:

I did tried to update portage successfully after that, just in case it was an older portage doing this, but the error remained.
I then pinged rsync.se.gentoo.org and had 100% packet loss... server down?
How do I fix this?

 Well.... I was too fast to post without thinking this out a bit first. Changed it to the finnish server.
