|
|
Hi all,
I migrated over to grub2 today and, while I am able to boot from it, I get an error message just before the grub2 screen pops up. The problem is, the error goes by so quickly that I cannot read what it is. Might there be a way to find out?
Best,

I've read about people using a camera/phone to video the screen during boot, then pause it during playback. |

I don't have a camera or a camera phone. It goes by much too quickly anyway, so I doubt that would help.
There used to be a way to step through these things or it would save stuff somewhere. Is this no longer the case?

Not that I know of.
Code: | dmesg | less
grep -ri grub /var/log/* | less |
If it's not in either of those you're out of luck I believe. |

Perhaps it's this bug. Also have a look at the upstream bug, which is still open. |

That looks like it. I found out that the pause key will actually ... pause. Amazing!
