This message needs explaining:
| Code: | !! Repository 'x-layman' is missing masters attribute in '/var/lib/layman/metadata/layout.conf'

There is no folder 'metadata'; there IS file skel.metadata.xml. There is no file layout.conf.
If I just create a folder 'metadata' doesn´t it collide with the xml file?
Hope this is not the wrong place for asking layman questions. |

No, metadata and metadata.xml are not identical so no collision.
This is a dupe of this thread, which has all the needed info to correct your problem.
