|
|
Hi, this is he first upgrade that I have attempted, I followed the wiki, I am using the generic kernel, "genkernel All" everything seemed to process fine but when I bootup it fails pointing to not being able to load the nvidia module, I kept the old sources and booted up from the old menu listing in grub and it is still fine with the old kernel.
Here is the Xorg log.
Thanks for any help

jk121960,
The nvidia-drivers builds against the kernel pointed to by the /usr/src/linux symbolic link.
As you have upgraded your kernel but not yet rebuilt the nvidia-drivers package, the nvidia kernel module is missing.
Check the symlink - fix it to point to your new kernel if required then Code: | emerge -1 nvidia-drivers |
