SASL SMTP and AUTH LOGIN (outlook problem)

I wanted to share this tip since it took my many days to solve this problem.

I set up sasl smtp authentication (mostly as suggested in the Virtual Mailhosting System Guide) and had a problem authenticating outlook express cllients. Which only work with LOGIN and PLAIN. CRAM-MD5 worked fine.

In the end the solution was to change /etc/sasl2/smtpd.conf (which is a symbolic link to /usr/lib/sasl2/) to use auxprop
