Hello Gentoo users,
I just upgraded to KDE 4.10.5 using Gentoo and the mouse arrow always shows when the screen saver is active. I'm concerned that since the mouse arrow is stationary it might cause burn-in on my monitor. The previous version of KDE I had did not behave this way (4.9.5).
This new version of KDE calles the screensaver a "screenlocker" even though it basically works the same way. The package is called kde-base/kscreensaver and I also have x11-misc/xscreensaver installed to give me more screensavers to choose from. Both packages combine with each other in the drop-down list to show screensavers from both packages.
Is there a way to remove the mouse arrow from the screensaver or should I file a bug with the KDE team?
Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
Roy |
