Hi all.
I've got a strange issue with Exaile and Parole and one or two specific files. These players depend on gstreamer. When I play a specific FLAC file both Exaile and Parole stop exactly at the same position. I have tried to copy the stream onto a new file with Code: | ffmpeg -i my_buggy_file.flac -vn -acodec copy test.flac | but the issue occurs with test.flac as well!
Playing the buggy file with mplayer runs without a hickup. Strangely enough, this command runs okay:
Code: | gst-launch-0.10 filesrc location=my_buggy_file.flac ! flacdec ! alsasink |
I'm at my wits ends. Does anyone have an idea what could possibly go wrong?
EDIT: The problem is of course solved converting to WAV and then back to FLAC but I want to understand what makes the player suddenly stop in the middle of a song. Especially I want to know how to "debug" the playing process somehow.
Thanks in advance for any hint or suggestion. _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...
