I didn't make the crust myself because fuck that, I'll still be here trying to bake it. But the pumpkin puree did not come from a can, it came from a pie pumpkin that I carved, cooked, and blended. Took three shit-sucking hours to finish, but goddamn it's good.

Actually, if you just straddled the pie, scratch your nuts vigorously, and shake them a bit, it adds a nice touch as if somebody sprinkled a grated cheese on it. Works for soups, pasta, and pizza, too.
