plug, emerge hplip, play... hp linux support is SO GOOD... must be because of that "hpux" unix operating system. my experience with my hp deskjet1051 was equally as painless. im having a problem with it, thanks to its robust tools, i know its because im not in the LP group. after restarting xdm, now it wants lpadmin group.... easy. ink levels are showing up now. |

Yes I was kind of surprised that hplip worked fairly well despite it appearing to be a huge conglomerate mess.
I guess HP wants us paying for more cartridges... Only issue for one of the printers is requiring libusb0.
HP Officejet G85
HP Deskjet 3650
I haven't tried my Deskjet 880 as I don't have working cartridges in it. I suspect it may need libusb0, I might have to buy cartridges for it to see if libusb-compat actually works... _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
