after that only vmnet and vmlock comes in question.
yesterday here was a reinstallation of kernel 3.10.0
did not make any dfference in vmware-modules merge
i dont know how to apply the patches.

Maybe you've solved this problem in the meantime. Anyway, here's how I've applied the patches to vmware-modules-271.2, kernel gentoo-sources-3.10.1:

Copy http://pkgbuild.com/git/aur-mirror.git/tree/vmware-patch/vmblock-9.0.2-5.0.2-3.10.patch to /etc/portage/patches/app-emulation/vmware-modules/271-vmblock-only.patch

The second part of the patch is not required, so you need to delete it:

Edit /etc/portage/patches/app-emulation/vmware-modules/271-vmblock-only.patch

Remove anything below of and including the following line:

@@ -293,7 +294,7 @@

Copy http://pkgbuild.com/git/aur-mirror.git/tree/vmware-patch/vmnet-9.0.2-5.0.2-3.10.patch to /etc/portage/patches/app-emulation/vmware-modules/271-vmnet-only.patch

Run emerge vmware-modules again.

I get the same errors trying to compile vmware-modules-271.2 on gentoo-sources kernel 3.11.0, but those patches no longer exist and their nearest equivalents fail to patch
