Hi!
I want to interrupt package installing when sources was unpacked into /var/tmp/portage, make some changes in source files and continue installation. Is it possible 'on-the-fly'? Or should I repack package, replace original with repacked and run emerge again? |

Use ebuild foo-1.0 unpack, ebuild foo-1.0 compile ... man ebuild. I.e., after unpacking you can modify files and then do the compile etc. _________________ Hello 911? How are you? |

If it's not a really small, almost instantly building package I just do ctrl+z after unpacking, modify files, and use 'fg' to resume build. |
