Hi, as you can see from the thread's title, I have an audio problem with my new Gentoo setup.
Options that "Alsa" wikipage reccomends are selected in my kernel configuration, and alsamixer [unless when I start it "master volume" is always set to mute (is this normal? Alsa isn't in the runlevel yet, maybe that's why)] recognizes the sound card but, If I set the volume to max nothing happens.
I've also "Alsa" USE in my make.conf and when I added it I updated all packages.

This is my sound card:
Code:

localhost wantoast # lspci | grep --color -i audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)

With my pair of Turtle Beach P11 (which obviously I'd like to use with Gentoo too, is there something in particular that I've to do in order to make them working?) the problem persists.
What should I do?

Thanks in advance!

First, check 'aplay -l' - perhaps your primary card is different than what you think it is.
Is there anything interesting in the output of 'aplay -v' ?
Check 'amixer' on all of the cards - maybe one of the controls, you don't think as important, is (pastebin the results).

Well... It just was a "mute" enabled. The volume was at max but mute was enabled.
Haha, sorry for those five minute you wasted, and thanks anyway.
However it's not so good that mute by default.
