I have two problems. I have a feeling they may be related though.

I just switched to systemd, as a preface for getting upgraded to gnome 3.8 (still on 3.6).

This is a pretty fresh gentoo install, so i've been having this problem since the beginning.

When I go to add my Google account to gnome-online-accounts I get the following message:

Code:
Your system time is invalid. Check your date and time settings

The problem is, my system time is not invalid.

For reference:
My timezone is US/EDT (America/New_York is what I have set)

I notice the time is in UTC, rather than UTC-4/5 or whatever it's supposed to be - but not sure if this is correct behavior

I have systemd-206 as well.

Output of timedatectl:
Code:

brandon@gentoo ~/.cache/gdm $ timedatectl
Local time: Wed 2013-07-24 20:41:18 UTC
Universal time: Wed 2013-07-24 20:41:18 UTC
        Timezone: America/New_York (UTC, +0000)
     NTP enabled: n/a
NTP synchronized: no
 RTC in local TZ: no
      DST active: n/a

Output of date command:
Code:

brandon@gentoo ~/.cache/gdm $ date
Wed Jul 24 20:41:40 UTC 2013

Output of cat /etc/timezone
Code:

brandon@gentoo ~/.cache/gdm $ cat /etc/timezone
America/New_York

The time is correct, so I'm a bit puzzled as to why I get that error.

In addition (not sure if this is related).

My gnome crashes when i click on my name on the top right (power/user info menu/suspend/etc.). This has only happened since switching to systemd

Here's the log for that:

Appreciate the help in advance guys, good to be back in gentoo after all these years 8)

Solved
I'm not sure exactly what solved the time, a total reconfiguration/revamp did it

As far as the gnome crash on the top right, rebuilding systemd with USE="policykit" seemed to do it.
