/run is loaded onto a tmpfs somewhere in the startup scripts, and for the life of me I can't see where. (I need to move /run to a permanent file system to for debugging). Anyone know what initialises /run, and where? Thanks - Will

The mount is done by openrc, in /lib64/rc/sh/init.sh
