Which package contains the 10x20 font? On a Linux Mint system, it's xfonts-base which contains /usr/share/fonts/X11/misc/10x20.pcf.gz.

Maybe
Code:
emerge -1av media-fonts/font-misc-misc
can help you:
Code:
equery f media-fonts/font-misc-misc | grep 10x20
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-1.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-10.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-11.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-13.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-14.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-15.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-16.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-2.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-3.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-4.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-5.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-7.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-8.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-ISO8859-9.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20-KOI8-R.pcf.gz
/usr/share/fonts/misc/10x20.pcf.gz

But If you install x11-base/xorg-x11 you should have media-fonts/font-misc-misc already.

Thank you very much! I had installed xorg-server instead of xorg-x11. In the past, I've tried to be minimalist. However, I find that I end up hosing myself because I'm missing packages that I really want, but don't know which ones. From now on, I'm just going with the full package. Especially with DE's like Gnome and KDE.
