installing gentoo on dell laptop

I am interested in installing gentoo linux on Dell Laptop. Can anyone recommend me which Dell Laptop (model) would work the best?

Welcome to the Gentoo forums.

In general, I have had good experiences with Dell and you can probably use just about any of their computers. However, I would suggest that you consider at one of the models that comes with Ubuntu installed. If Ubuntu supports the hardware, Gentoo will to. It will also avoid the M$ tax and help send the message that there is a market for such computers.
