i can understand complaints about increased rates, and i can understand concerns about hacking, but their big crutch is health here. has there ever, in the history of pervasive wireless technologies, been a scientifically documented case of adverse health effects from the spectrums that these are sending and receiving?

If ever there was a reason to go off-grid, "smart" metering would be it.

Maybe at hundreds of watts, 2.4GHz can heat water and cause cell damage. But a wifi antenna is so way way way away from that power level it doesn't even constitute a joke, it's just plain lying. As is roping in conditions solely associated with ionising radiation. I'm so sick of this bullshit.

I'd think unless one is a hermit or works in a lead lined sealed bubble there isn't much use worrying about microwave radiation since it's pretty difficult to avoid.
