I'm trying to use lxappearance-0.5.1 as a way to make changing gtk color schemes easier in xfce. When I try to run it as a regular user, though, it exits right away and gives no feedback. I can run it as root just fine.
Also strange is that this is a problem with only one of my Gentoo machines, and both run fairly similar software (both xfce, gtk apps, very similar use flags, etc.).
There are some differences between them though:
Machine #1 (lxappearance not working)
AMD phenom 2 cpu
Nvidia GPU
Machine #2 (lxappearance works fine)
Core i3 cpu
Sandy Bridge/Intel video
I ran an emerge -e lxappearance on machine #1 in hopes of squashing some obscure bug and getting it to work, but it still does not work even after that. I thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has any ideas. |

I should note also that I tried this with a brand new user account and it still did not work. |

I don't know what you're running into, but I'm running 0.5.2 and it segfaults as you try to exit/apply settings. |
