Virtual Box .vmdk input/output error while mounting

Yesterday I installed a Linux-Server VM in Virtual Box and added a few vmdk's.

Everything worked like a charm but after I copied data onto one of my HDD's I was not able to mount the vmdk's in the VM anymore.

I get an error code:
Failed to recieve informations for file ...
Input/Output error

It's not exactly that message, I will post the exact message when I'm back home.
