|
|
I just updated to chromium 44.0.2403.89 which removes the widevine flag. chrome-binary-plugins 44.0.2403.89_p1 has widevine. widevine is installed in /usr/lib64/chromium-browser/libwidevinecdm.so
Yet widevine does not show up in chrome://plugins/
widevine was working fine in chromium 43.0.2357.130, with the widevine flag.
Am I missing something, or might this be a bug. I don't want to report a bug, if it is something I am missing. I looked through chrome://plugins/ too see if widevine had been relocated from plugins, but could not find anything. I re-compiled chrome-binary-plugins, message states the widevine flag must be used in chromium. But there is no widevine flag in chromium 44.0.2403.89. |

I no longer have widevine working either. There's bug 547630 which looks to be related. I'm masking and reverting to 43 now so I can watch Netflix again. |

Thanks engineermdr. I looked through the list, but some how missed that one, me old eyes is tired! I had the feeling someone was aware. This is one of those situations where using buildpkg is nice to have. |
