Look at the Metadata, contact the package maintainer and ask...

wow, thank you guys ... i was blind because opencascade doesnt install the files in the standard way i know ...

the configure script of current freecad git working like a charm with these settings on gentoo:

Code:

./configure --prefix=/home/mael/Stuff/Test/free-cad --enable-sandbox --enable-assembly --enable-cam --enable-debug --enable-warnings --enable-template --enable-loginfo --with-qt4-bin=/usr/bin --with-qt4-lib=/usr/lib/qt4 --with-qt4-include=/usr/include/qt4 --with-occ-lib=/usr/lib64/opencascade-6.6.0/ros/lin/lib64 --with-occ-include=/usr/lib/opencascade-6.6.0/ros/lin/inc

but compiling with "make -j8" still fails on something with SMDS ... i think it has something to do with the bundled salome smesh library ...

Code:

make[4]: *** No rule to make target `src/SMDS/SMDS_Mesh0DElement.cpp', needed by `SMDS_Mesh0DElement.lo'.  Stop.
make[4]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make: *** [all] Error 2

anyone who can provide upstreams git repo with a patch would be very welcomed :-)
