Hello.

I cant upgrade glibc from 2.11.2-r3 to 2.15-r3. During configure it prints error 'configure: error: linker with -z relro support required'. I've tried to install newer gcc and binutils but it wont help.

Code:

Portage 2.1.11.55 (default/linux/amd64/13.0, gcc-4.6.3, glibc-2.11.2-r3, 2.6.11-gentoo-r6 x86_64)

What's the error in config.log ?
This looks a bit fishy - according to your 'emerge --info', you've already updated binutils.

There is a bug filed for this. See https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=231635. The bug report contains a workaround

Anyway, as a workaround, you can add this setting to make.conf:

libc_cv_z_relro=yes

That bug doesn't look fully relevant. Part of it is about cross compiling, the initial report is about old versions of toolchain.
Though checking the command, configure uses in the check, would be a start.
