I've been known to smoke the occasional nice cigar and will on occasion also smoke a cigarette but don't go over a pack per decade.

Kind of an ex smoker, counting passive here - used to sit in a cloud of tobacco smoke as a child, plus I remember public transport being somewhat stifling.

Never directly had a fag though, there are easier ways to off yourself.

I used to take 5-10 bong hits a day for more than 3 years... and stopped from one day to the other... because it was stupid... there was some tobacco involved.

There's a missing option: I smoke occasionally, not addicted to it.

I smoked a few times when I was in a pressure cooker low end job. Didn't like it.

Couldn't see how smoking alleviated stress.

it doesn't! nicotine only has a calming effect for those that are already addicted. If you want to get calmed, use alcohol or other "similar substances"

That's what I remember saying, in 1988. In 1990, I knew I was addicted. It was a useful stimulant, and I thought it made me seem like more of a bad-ass. Eventually I grew to hate how it made my apartment, car, and clothing smell like an ashtray and made my breath smell like ass, and I tried to quit several times, but it took me 19 years (and my grandmother dying of emphysema, and my mother getting lung cancer, and my two-mile run time getting four minutes longer) to finally succeed. Cigarettes are evil.

fags are good for you.

All they need to do is put some vitamins and minerals in them and they'll be nice and healthy :D

Two packs a day? You're probably fucked anyway. For how many years did you do that? :P

Non smoker always.

Cigarettes killed both my parents Dad, aortism, Mum lung cancer.

Mum advised to smoke by doctor to help reduce her stutter. Smoked for 25 years stopped for 25 years. Treated like a second class citizen by the NHS as she was a smoker.

What a horrible death.

No thanks. Obamacare is not a solution to any problem, but certainly created a lot of new problems.

Obamacare won't treat anyone like a second class citizen. Everyone will be treated equally. We will each be turned into Soylent Green when our three-year moving average annual medical costs exceed $10,000 per annum, whether you've worked hard and saved all your life or just and sat on your ass and sponged off others. That will be done on a "voluntary" basis, of course.
