fbgrab on X

fbgrab's man page claims it can grab the whole X screen too, but calling fbgrab from X just gives me the last tty before switching to the tty with :0 on it. It might be important to note that I call startx from ttyX, I don't have/use a dm.

It is possible that you must start X with the fbdev Xorg driver for fbgrab being able to grab the X console. I haven't try. I tried with the Radeon X driver and it have not work.

Fbgrab do not take a clear screen shot of the virtual character terminals. I have a spash background on them using Fbcondecor and Splashutils. It might be better without a background.
