Hey newbie here,

I dont know how I missed this step but I dod not copy my dns infor before CHROOTing and now i cannot connect to portage. Any way i can fix this?

Code:

echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" >> /etc/resolv.conf


instead of

Code:

echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" >> /mnt/gentoo/etc/resolv.conf



(i had 1 tester of an alternate install wiki im writing up run into this, and decided to chroot first then insert name servers)

Or switch to another terminal and do it from there.

Alt-Fn (n= 1-6)

You should have 6 terminals.
