Code:
kwhat@plutonium244 ~ $ namebench
  File "/usr/bin/namebench", line 28
print '* Your Python version (%s) is too old! Please upgrade to 2.6+!' % your_version
                                                                         ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

Ran python updater no luck, tried with python 2 and 3 same result.

Solved
I dont know how but I got a different version of the script after re-merge the package....

The exact same thing happened to me, but re-emerging didn't help. All I have on my system is Python 2.7 and 3.2, 3.2 selected from eselect python.

I got this error too on namebench startup, but after I eselect python to 2.7 instead of 3.3, and reemerged namebench, it worked.
