I'm looking for a good PDF viewer, I'm using XFCE4

I'm having some problem with "evince" (can not print to pdf file)
"qpdfview" - looks good but does not allow me to select text from pdf files (to highlight the text and copy it); there is no "print to file" option when I go to print either.

What are other good alternatives?

mupdf, or acroread (if you don't mind 32bit libraries and arcane bugs), or gv (slow).

For printing, acroread is the best.

I used to use epdfview, for it seems it's gone from portage now.

I switched to evince, and all around seems to be the best free reatder out there for me, along with okular (but I am guessing installing kde is not an option for you, is it?).

As for your problem, well, I don't want to spoil out the thread, but if you can't use the internal pdf renderer, there's a great chance to work around the problem by using the cups-pdf driver and creating a printer with it.

Oh, by the way, I just reminded that I had problems compiling something (and it might have been evince) using the latest and greatest version of poppler, in fact, I have this in package.mask

Code:
=app-text/poppler-0.22.2-r1

I am not sure if it's related, but ...
