Hi @all
I search on the Internet since Yesterday for Informations about the actual grub2-2.00-r2 and the use of gold and lto for building it.
The only informations i found are about grub-1.99 which is outdated for me.
I haven't try it yet because it can make my system unbootable and that is something i will avoid.
So has someone experience building grub2 with this configuration ?
I use gcc-4.8.0, binutils-2.3.2 and glibc-2.17. |

The grub2-2.00-r2 ebuild won't work with the gold linker. it builds ok with lto gcc-4.8.0, binutils-2.23.1 and glibc-2.17.
Give it a go, you will be able to recover your system with the systemrescue cd ? |

Ok i will give it a try, recovery is no Problem it runs in a Hyper-V VM so if it becomes unbootable i can use a CD-Image for rescue. |
