I have followed the suggestions at the end of this bug report https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=453778

I think I understood the problem
Quote:

looks like the older mount included it, but the new rewrite does not
Code:

$ mount --version
mount from util-linux 2.20.1 (with libblkid and selinux support)
$ mount --help | grep -e '^Other options.*-[[:alpha:]]*s'
Other options: [-nfFrsvw] [-o options] [-p passwdfd].

$ mount --version
mount from util-linux 2.22.2 (libmount 2.22.0: debug)
$ mount --help | grep -e-.*s
<nothing useful>

What I don't understand is the solution.
Quote:

1. DEPEND on >=sys-apps/util-linux-2.20
2. add "--enable-sloppy-mount" to the arguments for econf

OK that did the tricks

econf is for generating ebuilds. So I sould modify the ebuild and add this where?
I'm not familiar with ebuild creation, any hints?

I changed the econf invocation in /usr/portage/net-fs/autofs/autofs-5.0.6-r3.ebuild
Code:

src_configure() {
        # work around bug #355975 (mount modifies timestamp of /etc/mtab)
        # with >=sys-apps/util-linux-2.19,
        addpredict "/etc/mtab"

        # --with-confdir is for bug #361481
        # --enable-sloppy-mount is for bug #453778
        econf \
                --with-confdir=/etc/conf.d \
                $(use_with ldap openldap) \
                $(use_with sasl) \
                $(use_with hesiod) \
                --enable-ignore-busy \
                --enable-sloppy-mount
}

then execute the ebuild digest
Code:
ebuild  /usr/portage/net-fs/autofs/autofs-5.0.6-r3.ebuild digest

but I get the same error when I try to emerge it.
Code:

>>> Source configured.

Hi,
much time is passed from when I have written this post and is not sure to remember all good....
there are new posterior comments to the bug cited from me now, I think that this was the solution for me:
Quote:

I reproduced this bug on x86 and amd64
Try unmask =sys-apps/sandbox-2.6 ~amd64 | ~x86
After upgrade sandbox autofs comiling clean with ldap use.

i hope this can help you,

Maurizio
