Not sure this goes here, but I guess it is a problem with a gui applicaiton.
I am trying to burn an optical disc with k3b, and the dialog box keeps telling me "Please insert an empty DVD or Blu-ray medium." When I put the medium in, I get the notification from kde (and the device notifier shows "blank DVD+R." Even k3b itself (in the upper left corner next to the filesystem tree) says "Empty DVD+R Medium" (and right below that, the model of the optical drive), and if I click on it, I get:
Code: |
Type: DVD+R
Media ID: DAXON/AZ3
Capacity: 510:01:29 min (4.4 GiB)
Rewritable: no
Appendable: no
Empty: yes
Layers: 1
Sessions: 0
Supported writing speeds: 4.0x (5540 KB/s)
8.0x (11080 KB/s)
12.0x (16620 KB/s)
16.0x (22160 KB/s)

But I can't do anything at all if the part of the program that produces the dialog box won't admit that there is a piece of blank medium in the drives. Any ideas? |
