PulseAudio pauses when switching X sessions

Hi reader,

Since a reboot a few days ago PulseAudio pauses my music playback when I switch to my 2nd X session. I usually have two X session running: one for my day-to-day Linux stuff and a second session for my virtualized corporate (Windows) desktop. I started using PulseAudio in January and did not have this problem before. I do see PulseAudio messages in the logs but noting relates to the audio stream is paused. Any ideas?
Some notes:
* both sessions use my user account
* there is only one pulsaudio process
* the audio streams from both sessions are visible
