So, I just found out that I had set the number of max cores in the kernel to 2 on my intel core 2 duo computer. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I did that, it should be 4 instead. I changed the config to 4 cores and recompiled the kernel. But now, when starting to boot with the new kernel, it crashes hard when it starts udev and does not continue to boot. I'm guessing that it has something to do with udev remembering that there where only 2 cores before?
How can I fix this? It would be nice to use all 4 cores instead of just the 2. _________________ Adopt an unanswered post!
