Hi all
I can't start lxde.
I installed gentoo emerged xorg, lxde and chromium. At the console when logged in as root I can startx. When I su user and try startx it doesn't work.
As far as I read from the forum I got something like this:
Code: | xinit -- /usr/bin/startlxde |
I did the above code as a user, but the response is:...no such file + directory etc... |

echo "exec startlxde"" >> ~/.xinitrc
then "startx"
The user must be member of following groups at least : plugdev cdrom cdrw usb
If you use a connexion manager : gdm, kdm, lxdm then it will usually add lxde after it is installed.
Just start xdm as root : # /etc/init.d/xmd start.
Take a look at this

Bernard
