Hello everyone!
I've recently upgraded my KDE environment and since then i can't suspend to RAM.
When I close my notebook it does the sound that its being sleeping, but the it keeps powered up.
If I open, the lock screen is showed. This also happens if I run the comand from KDE menu.
pm-suspend returns nothing then a 1 second black screen, then the system backs as nothing appened.
Any idea of what should had happend? I am runnign gentoo-sources 3.5.7 kernel and KDE 4.9.5.
Thanks! |

This sounds like this thread to me where others and I faced similar problems which at least in my case vanished without a detailed reason. |

Strange enough while having a look this afternoon my power settings did not show any standby/hibernation option and trying to suspend the machine had the same result as you described (short blank screen and only locked desktop). Now I rebooted and everything is normal again. The only difference is, that there is now the battery in it which I normally have not inside. |
