There's a comment in the Genkernel guide about hardware autodetection like the install cd yet no instructions and I need it as I'm installing onto an 8GB flash drive as a portable Gentoo install.
Anyone got instructions for this or is it part of the initrmfs that Genkernel builds? |

genkernel builds a huge number of drivers as modules. at boot time the initramfs will detect hardware and file systems and load the appropriate drivers. _________________ Defund the FCC. |

Thanks for the fast reply Donahue.
I thought that was the case from what the Guide said but wasn't sure.
I'll test it once the build is completed and if it works correctly, I'll be able to finish things up. |
