After installing 4.10.0 I have the following situation. I've removed ~/.kde4 and configured everything from scratch. Then I started konsole. Then I exited from kde. Then I start kde again. The konsole does not start, but it is present in the task bar. When I try to switch to it, the task bar just brings me to the virtual desktop where the dead konsole lived. And there seems to be no way to get rid of this ghost konsole in the task bar.
In the following sessions, it is always present. New programs which I start in these new sessions sometimes appear in the task bar, but sometimes they don't. Only this long dead konsole is always present.
After upgrading to 4.10.1, everything has repeated. I again configured it from scratch, and during this first session the task bar reflected reality. I was happy, Then I exited from this session. After starting kde again, the konsole has not started, but is present in the task bar. Deleting the panel and creating a new one does not help. Is there any way (a) to get rid of ghosts in the task bar, (b) to ensure that the task bar shows windows which exist and does not show windows which do not exist? I mean, less time-consuming ones than removing ~/.kde4 and configuring kde from scratch.
In 4.9 (and earlier), I never had such problems. _________________ Andrey Grozin |
