I have been fixing a system that broke when trying to update it. The error message I got is this.
| Code: | /sbin/ldconfig: /lib/libpcre.so.0 is not a symbolic link
/sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib/libgmp.so.3 is not a symbolic link
/sbin/ldconfig: /usr/lib/libffi.so.5 is not a symbolic link

How do I fix this? I am trying. But not having any luck doing so.

Weird error, these are not symlinks on my box and everything goes fine. Looks like this error message is inaccurate and leads you astray. Please try the following command:
| Code: | | emerge -1v dev-libs/gmp dev-libs/libffi dev-libs/libpcre |
