hello
i have a ping and internet connection but emerge --sync fails but emerge webrsyc is succesful? any clues?

unable to sync my portage tree with emerge --sync i posted scteen shot in forms i saw similar problem in related threads but no verified solution

Please wgetpaste both the successful and failed cases. Show also the output of emerge --info ; ls -l /etc/resolv.conf.

I chroot into my live cd and copied cp -L /mnt/etc over my messed up config
