Hi, all

I'm using gnome-shell with Firefox. Is it possible to build Firefox with gtk3 (or is it built with gtk3 now) ?

Because in Ubuntu 12.10, Firefox seems using native gtk3 theme in gnome-shell, which the scroll bar is gtk3 style, not old gtk2 one.

Thanks

IIRC, while there has been a lot done upstream regarding building firefox against gtk3, it's not finished yet - the relevant upstream bug isn't finished yet, in fact it stalled in the last few months.

On the other hand, if you're talking just about theming, the chances are Ubuntu is using a different theme or at least a different version of it.

Ubuntu probably hacked those scrollbars into gtk2.

Thank you all. The theme may be a good choice for me.

After upgrading to gnome 3.6 with gnome-shell 3.6, the default look of Firefox seems integrated by default.

In such case, it was most likely gnome-themes-standard version that mattered - actually, this was the expected result.
