Hi,

in the weekly LOGWATCH reports under the section Syslog-ng the following message is included every week:

Quote:

- Failed to receive X message(s)!

Where X > 3000 and sometimes > 6000 messages.

Does it mean, that Syslog-ng does not receive/log that many messages or is LOGWATCH not able to read that amount of messages? After checking the logs it does not appear like any message would be skipped and not logged by Syslog-ng.

Would appreciate some help. Thanks in advance.

I know this is ancient but did you ever find a reason? I don't think the system load is an issue here...
