hi,

How to change qt apps themes? Somehow they've all defaulted to fugly plain gtk style oO. Is this possible to do without running full blown KDE DE?

thanks

You can use qtconfig to change the theme. The theming available through qtconfig is not as rich as can be done through KDE.

x11-themes/qtcurve-qt4
x11-themes/bespin

The last one is my default (with varying presets) since - years. (running live-ebuild from kde overlay)

And there're skulpture and quantumstyle.

http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/Skulpture?content=59031
http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/QuantumStyle?content=101088

I've just put .so files (after compiling in Ubuntu minimal + Fluxbox) here (in Ubuntu):
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt4/plugins/styles/

Quantumstyle offers some config and you can create your own themes as well (using GIMP).

Bespin offers a fine config app as well, but it increases CPU usage a bit here (%1-2).

You can't choose a Qtcurve preset. Does anyone know how to do that in a pure Qt environment?

Only by manually editing the config file. Yeah I know it's a pain.
