Hello,
I'm trying to use mp3splt-gtk (I normally use the CLI, I now want to try the GUI). I tried versions 0.5.9 and 0.7.3, I have the same problem, it won't select any player. The Preferences menu only offers the "SnackAmp" option, which is not in portage. I edited the file ~/.mp3splt-gtk/mp3splt-gtk_prefs
Code: |
# 1 = PLAYER_AUDACIOUS, 2 = PLAYER_SNACKAMP, 3 = PLAYER_GSTREAMER
default_player=2
|
to change to default_player=1 (audacious is installed on my machine). But as soon as I launch mp3splt-gtk, the preferences files gets overwritten (file is overwritten at launch, no other action needed), the config file goes back to default_player=2 (snackamp) and there is no way to change that in the GUI. Of course when I click on Connect it complains it can't find snackAmp.
I also tried to install snackAmp (snackamp.sourceforge.net) but it's a bit of a mess. Apart from needing snd-oss-mixer module to be compiled, there's some tcl code that crashes, perhaps it does not work with stable version of tcl (snackamp was written for tcl 8.3 but current stable is 8.5).
Did other people manage to use mp3splt-gtk ? How to proceed ?
Regards,
