|
|
Hi,
I was trying to install gnome 3 on my new computer and I'm now stuck at the udev slot conflict. I checked the dependency chain and I think it boils down to this:
grub-2.00-r1 => lvm2-2.02.97-r1 (=virtual/udev-171)
gnome-base/gvfs-1.14.2 => sys-fs/udisk-2.0.90 (=virtual/udev-196)
So is there any way to get around this?

I installed KDE in the end. Anyway, I just checked my system again and I think I know why. I actually installed lvm2-2.02.88. And I guess I should have unmasked it and used a newer version that depends on >=virtual/udev-180 instead of =virtual/udev-171
Please mark this as solved. Thanks. |
